Vintage Celebration Rules & Regulations

CLASS DESIGNATION: There will be one general class for automobiles and racecars from which all trophies will be awarded. The purpose and intent of this show are to honor the pure aesthetic and nostalgic enjoyment of vintage and rare automobiles and racecars. All vehicles must be pre-1989 to qualify for entry. Please come and enjoy in the spirit of good fun.

JUDGING POINTS: During judging, all vehicle hoods and trunks must be open and doors unlocked and operable. Driver and passenger front windows should be rolled down. Each vehicle will be eligible for up to 100 points. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Only the first 150 entries will be eligible for competition.

REGISTRATION FEES: The registration fee for pre-registered vehicles (by July 20) is $10 per car. After that date and up to the day of the show, the fee will be $15 per vehicle. All registration fees will be donated to the Infant Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin.

AT CHECK-IN: Check-in opens at 8 a.m. If you plan to enter your vehicle in competition, you must be registered and checked-in by 10 a.m. Pre-registration is recommended. All pre-registered entries will be given a bottle of Botham Vineyards wine that bears a special commemorative label. Day-of-show entries will also be given the bottle of wine, while supplies last.

No pets will be allowed into the show. No exceptions. No carry-in alcohol please.

TROPHIES: First through eighth place automobile awards will be given as well as special trophies for: Best of Show (overall highest points); Vintner’s Choice (Peter Botham’s favorite vehicle); the James E. Fletcher Award, the Style Award, and the Featured Marque trophy.

JUDGING AND TROPHY PRESENTATION: Each vehicle will be given 30 minutes after final check-in to prepare for judging. Check-in closes at 10 a.m. Judging will be completed by 3:00 p.m. EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO BEGIN THE TROPHY PRESENTATION AT OR BEFORE 4:00 P.M. A formal trophy presentation will be made. You must be present to receive a trophy.

TIE BREAKERS: Ties will be decided by the head judge, whose decision is final. Period.
