ABOUT US

Authentic Vine-to-bottle, Estate-grown Wines
Situated in the heart of Wisconsin’s Iowa County Uplands and surrounded by more than 900 acres of nature conservancy, Botham Vineyards & Winery has been growing and producing regionally distinctive Wisconsin wines of international acclaim since 1989. We take great pride in the quality and legacy of our estate-grown wines.
Regionally Distinctive Wines
We grow red wines; grapes with names like Marechal Foch and Leon Millot. They are French-hybrid varieties that are cold-hardy enough to withstand our harsh winters and short growing seasons, but make lovely, earthy, fruit-forward and authentic, regionally distinctive, esstate-grown wines that carry a sense of place.
"IN FACT, HIS FIELD 3 IS HANDS DOWN, THE BEST WINE IN THE STATE." — Dwight & Lynn Farrow foodandwineaesthetics.com
We purchase the grapes for our white wines, largely because the cold-climate white varieties that can grow in Wisconsin just don’t meet our standards from an agricultural or wine-quality perspective. Instead, we source the grapes for these wines mostly from the Finger Lakes Region of New York. As cold-climate varietals, with names like Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc and Geisenheim, they too are indicative of our growing region and thus a fine complement to our estate-grown reds. All of our wines are produced on site.
